Alyn Fred Rensink passed away peacefully at the age of 86, surrounded by his loving family. He went to be with the Lord Jesus the morning of March 30, 2025, while being held by his wife Mary Jane.

Alyn was a hardworking, kindhearted soul, born January 15, 1939 to Leitha and Fred Rensink in Darrington, Washington. He grew up alongside his three siblings, Ivalee, Vineta, and Gale. His life was marked by his passion and care for his family. In December of 1964, he married Mary Jane Vos and together they created a family of their own. They raised Shelley, Rick, Mark, Kirk, Kevik, and Erek. Alyn was rooted in a deep foundation of faith and adoration of Jesus. This was exemplified in the way he admired and enjoyed God's creation, in the way he worshiped using his musical gifts, and in the way he shared his deep, Godly love with all. His life was full of camping and fishing trips, of singing songs and playing instruments, and of adventure – but this was never done alone. He always shared his love, his music, his passions, with those he loved. He sacrificed regularly to see his loved ones enjoy what he had found enjoyment in, and never hesitated to place others before himself.

Throughout his life, Alyn was a role model to many. He led family members to know Christ's love for them, stopped for hitchhikers that most would pass by, and would care for and check in on the lowest and most forgotten members of his community. He was a wild and free spirit, taking his family on a tour of the country without as much as a plan, and returning with countless cherished memories. He lived a life of service to God, his family, and to his country, serving in the US Army. He was determined in all he did, stubbornly sticking up for those he loved and humbly growing all the way into his last years; growing to look more like Jesus.

Alyn was a hardworking and determined son, a thoughtful and sweet husband, a deeply involved and caring father, a joyous and present grandfather, and a proud and kindhearted great-grandfather. Most importantly, though, Alyn Rensink is a beloved child of God, who loves his Father dearly and lived his life in the freedom of knowing that his Father loved him. Alyn walked this Earth and lived his life led by God, and has passed this example on for new generations.

Alyn Rensink is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane Rensink; his children and their spouses, Shelley and David, Rick and Freya, Mark and Stacy, Kirk and Heidi, Kevik and Marta, and Erek;  his 22 grandchildren and their spouses, Josiah, Bennett and Greta, Dawson, Sadie, Almaluna, Estrella, Jesse, Aaron, Matteah, Ella, Isaac and Julia, Isaias, Adelia, Audra, Cliff, Mac, Reese, Mathias, Hannah, Jonas and Ebby, Sierra and Jeven, and Aleise, and his two great grandchildren, Georgia and Roman.

His legacy will carry on, leading all he knew to live a life like Christ lived. A life of service, of "loving your neighbor", and of doing everything as if it were done for the Lord. As it is written in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
