Arlene Faye Bogart Brown, of Sedro-Woolley, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, at 1:26 AM at United General Hospital.

Arlene was born on December 15, 1942, to William and Marie (Nyysti) Bogart in Portland, Oregon. She married the love of her life, Charles Brown, on November 3, 1958. After raising her five daughters, she relocated to Sedro-Woolley, Washington, in 1996. Arlene later returned to school and graduated from Skagit Valley College in 2001 with an Associate Degree in Business. She went on to work for the college until her retirement.

Arlene absolutely loved her Seattle Seahawks and cherished family gatherings spent watching the games together. Known affectionately as "Ma Turtle," she collected turtle figurines and memorabilia of all kinds, including her beloved red-eared slider turtle, Miz Pud.

In her free time, Arlene enjoyed crocheting, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her daughters at the Skagit Casino playing slots and attending shows and concerts one highlight being her kiss on the cheek from "Elvis."

Arlene was a loving soul with a heart of gold. She welcomed everyone with open arms, treating them as family. She was always there when needed whether as a listening ear, a source of stern advice, or a warm, loving hug. She was never more than a phone call away.

Arlene is survived by her four daughters, Luella May, Beatrice Allen, Pamela Brown, and Dianne Brown; her grandchildren, Breeanne and Cassidy Remme, Michael and Christopher May, Ryan and Christina Allen, James and Teresa VanDusen, Brandon Q'Mar Muhktar Hasan; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie Bogart; her siblings, Randy Bogart and Pauline Rutter; her husband, Charles Brown; her daughter, Aleatha Remme; and her grandson, Shawn May.
