Ben Edward Chase, 89, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, in Mount Vernon, Washington. He was born on May 6, 1935, in Burlington, WA, the son of Oren and Elsie (Ball) Chase.

Ben grew up in Big Lake, graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School. He spent six years in the Army Reserves. In his younger years, he worked in the woods driving log trucks and later retired from the Texaco Refinery in 1992.

A quiet and thoughtful man, Ben found great joy throughout his life in spending time outdoors fishing, duck hunting, golfing, and riding his motorcycle with friends.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Chase of Burlington; sons, Sean (Maya) Schaeffer of Granite Falls and Doug Chase of Florida; sister, Reta Simmons of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Jaelin Schaeffer, Andon Schaeffer, Kileigh Chase, and Hunter Chase; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Oren and Elsie Chase, and his twin siblings, Glen and Glenda Chase.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00, on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Burlington Green Hills Memorial Cemetery in Burlington.
