Beverly L. Tyree, 93, a lifelong resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away January 13, 2020.  She was born June 4, 1926 in Sedro-Woolley to Nicholas and Mattie (Ashe) Klaus.

Bev and Ernie Tyree were married August 17, 1946 in Sedro-Woolley.  God was the focus of Bev's life; she was involved in a Bible Study Group at Trinity Presbyterian Church for many years before recently becoming affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Sedro-Woolley.  Bev was a longtime bookkeeper for J. C. Penney, in Sedro-Woolley, retiring from the Mount Vernon Store.  She was also active in Soroptimist International in Sedro-Woolley.

Bev is survived by her children, Diane and husband, Mike Dodd, of Blaine, Washington and Ron and wife, Gloria Tyree, of Eugene, Oregon; grandchildren, Julie Dodd, of Blaine, Trent Tyree, of Portland, OR, and Lauren and husband, D. J. Countess, of Newport Beach, California; great grandchildren, Ryder Ness, of Blaine and Reagan Countess, of Newport Beach; siblings, Barb Harris, of Sedro-Woolley, Keith Klaus, of Everett, WA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry; husband Ernie; siblings, Doug Klaus, Wink Klaus, Don Klaus, Karen Eldridge and Bill Klaus.

A Life Celebration Gathering will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Sedro-Woolley.  Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Mission Apartment Project, 511 East State Street, Sedro-Woolley, WA  98284.  Share your memories of Beverly and sign the online guest register.
