Bllie Jean Shuler, 74 years old and a lifelong resident of Sedro-Woolley, Washington passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Bellingham, Washington.
Billie was born on December 31, 1944 in Anacortes, Washington and was raised by her step-father John Sidney Evans and mother, Ima-Jean Evans of Burlington Washington. She was preceded in death by her biological father William James Keough who was killed in the line of duty in 1945 during the war.
She was married to Robert Ray Shuler of Sedro-Woolley, in 1962, and they had three children, Kellie Sue Beto, Kerry Ray Shuler, and William James K. Shuler.
Billie Jean graduated from Skagit Valley College in 1969 with a cosmetology and beauticians' degree. Her number one passion was breeding and showing miniature pinchers. Her other passions were driving her little "Smart" car all over the Skagit Valley looking for great bargains at the many local thrift stores, mainly looking for a great deal on shoes – She loved her shoes!
Billie held a very strong lifelong commitment to her Christian faith. She also enjoyed spending time at the Riverside Health Club with her many friends.
Billie Jean is survived by her mother, Ima Jean Evans, of Burlington; her sister, Barbara Stover and her husband Wally; her two sons, Kerry Ray Shuler, of Sedro- Woolley and William James K. Shuler, and her daughter-in-law, Bonita June Nickelson-Shuler of Burlington; her grandchildren, Tiffany Poolman and her husband Jake, Larisa Beto, Landon Beto and his wife Tara, Morgan Vance and her husband Garret, and Maegan Shuler; her great-grandchildren, Colby and Christopher Lewis, J.J. Poolman, Sadie Ray Marie Bowman, Gabriella Carie, Aubree Ella May Ricco, and Carter Bristol Vance, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom and Kay Morgan, her step-father, John Sidney Evans, Sr., her husband, Robert Ray Shuler, her sister, Sandra Auberg, her brother, Buddy Evans and her daughter, Kellie Sue Beto.
