Obituary

Bobbie Jean Ashe, 86, a longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley, Washington, passed away at United General Hospital on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, with her daughter, Donna and friend, Tami Ensley by her side.

Bobbie was born in Sylva, North Carolina on February 3, 1937, and was one of eight children born to William Else and Ida Estella (Williams) Ashe.  In 1946, the family moved to Lyman, WA and she attended Lyman elementary and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School, class of 1955.  She retired from the State of Washington where she worked in the Juvenile division at Echo Glen Children Center in Snoqualmie for 27 years.  Her final days were spent at Country Meadow Village in Sedro-Woolley where she lived with her beloved cat, Frankie.

Bobbie was a member of the Sedro-Woolley Community Church and had many special friends that supported her, just to name a few are Tami, Roger & Gail, Sheila, Sharon, Louise, Irene, Kathy, Dee, Pastor Joe & Nellie Miller and recently passed, Pastor David Nichols and his wife, Faye.  Bobbie was a caregiver; she dedicated most of her life caring for others and will be forever remembered for her love and compassion.  She loved blue grass music, crocheting, beading, crafting and had a passion for WSU as that was where her granddaughter, Lauren and her husband, Max attended college.

Bobbie is survived by her three children, Chuck (Helen) Willoughby from Renton, Donna Jean Willoughby from Snoqualmie and John (Tammy) Moes from Rice, WA; six grandchildren, Devin Willoughby, Tiffany Moes, Lauren (Max) Schoenrock, Hannah (Ryan) Oestriech, Megan Moes, Robyn Moes; two great granddaughters, Blaire Schoenrock, Emma Jean Schoenrock, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence, Clyde, Raymond and Ben; sisters, Mabel, Julia and Ethel; she also lost a beloved daughter, Cindy Willoughby when she was just 18 years of age.

A Graveside Service for Bobbie will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 3:00p at the Lyman Cemetery with Pastors Joseph Miller and Albert Miller of the Sedro-Woolley Community Church officiating.  Share your memories of Bobbie and sign the online guest register.
