Byron 'Barney' Eric Olander, age 49, passed away August 5, 2023, at home in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.  He was born March 4, 1974, in Sedro-Woolley to Steve and Susan (Thurmond) Olander.

Barney is survived by his daughter, Willow Guitard; mother, Susan and her husband, Ron Schauer; father, Steve and his wife, Vickie Olander; grandfather, Henry Olander; brothers, Travis Olander and Jason Maddox; sisters, Heidi Maddow, Hannah Waggoner, Christine Wolters and Shelley Schauer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Brent Olander and Colby Schauer.

A time of visitation will be held at Lemley Chapel and invitation to "Sign the Casket" from Noon to 1:00, Friday, August 11, 2023, followed by the Graveside Service at 2:00, at Union Cemetery.  A reception will be held at the Sedro-Woolley Eagles after the service.
