On December 8, 2022, Carlos O. Campos, passed away at his home in Sedro Woolley, WA. Carlos was born to Alfred and Margaret Campos  on June 26, 1950 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Christine Campos.

After graduating from Damien High School, Honolulu in 1968 Carlos joined the Navy/Seabees. Carlos served in I Corp Vietnam 1968-69 and was a combat veteran.  Over the years Carlos maintained close friendships with many of his service friends.

Carlos and Chris met on Vancouver Island and began a life filled with adventures. An interest in logging took shape in many forms from setting chokes to timber falling. How a young guy born and raised in Hawaii ended up logging was always a good topic of conversation. Eventually Carlos was introduced to draft horses and selective logging.

Carlos was an avid gardener his whole life. He was game to try growing anything from peanuts to Ipu gourds. Garlic growing was where he truly excelled and over the years friends and family anticipated the harvest of his purple, hard neck, spicy garlic. One school year Carlos braided 100 heads of garlic to celebrate his kids' 100 days of school.

Carlos loved cars and over the years he owned many classic cars. He especially loved hot rods and enjoyed his 1930 Ford Coupe to the end.  Carlos loved attending car shows everywhere and anywhere and was a wealth of car information. Many friendships were formed over a mutual love of cars.

Carlos worked for Wilder Construction and retired from Lakeside Industries.  He expertly knew his way around Snohomish and King County thanks to all the roads he had helped pave.

His love and attachment to Hawaii never went away and purchasing a camp house looking out over the Pacific was a dream come true. It was truly his sweet spot and where he felt the happiest. Carlos loved sharing his hale with friends and family.

He will be missed by his wife, Christine, daughters, Eliza, Molly, Carla;  son, Robin; sons in law, Silas and Francis; beloved grandchildren, Maryn, Holden, Myles and Oliver; sister,  Marquita (Mickey).
