Carol Bernice Bates, age 91 passed away at Birchview Memory Care, Sedro-Woolley, Washington, December 23, 2024.  Carol was born December, 28, 1932, to Frank and Margaret (Likewise) Robb in Gillette, Wyoming.

Carol and James A. Bates were married December 23, 1949, in Hardin, Montana.  Carol and Jim lived in Gillette, WY until moving to Sedro-Woolley in 1960.  Carol worked at United General Hospital; as a co-owner, she worked at A&B Cold Storage, which was their meat plant, then went on to work for Seattle Filmworks in Sedro-Woolley, then Mount Vernon until it's closing.  She enjoyed studying genealogy.

Carol is survived by her children, Karen (Dennis) Allison, Marilyn Singleton, Nick (Margie) Bates; siblings, Dorothy Severson, Millie (Ralph) Galyen, Joyce Johnston, Tom Robb, Ray Robb; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret Robb; husband, James A. Bates; son, Timothy Bates; son in law, Danny Singleton; siblings, Charles, Gene and Jim Robb, Helen Ruth Oliver, Elsie Wilkins, Alice Davis; parents in law, George and Alice Bates; daughter in law, Cheryl Bates,

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  Her final resting place will be at the Hamilton Cemetery.  Share your memories of Carol and sign the guest register.
