Charles "Chuck" Daniel VanDelinder, age 83, passed away from complications with Dementia and Muscular Sclerosis (MS) on April 30, 2022, at home in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.  He was born March 24, 1939, in San Diego, California to Paul and Dorothy (Wood) VanDelinder.

Chuck had served in the Military (Marines) from March 26, 1956 to March 26, 1962.  In 1956 he was trained in Individual Combat.  He was Honorably Discharged as a Private First Class.  He received a Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal.  After the military he became a member of the Laborers Union and worked heavy construction for over 50 years.

Chuck enjoyed working with his hands on all sorts of projects, from working on his house to gardening.  He had a green thumb that was always growing more than he needed, he was known for passing around for others to enjoy.  His time with family was very important to him.  His best friend was his wife, they were always doing something together or going somewhere to see sights or maybe sitting on the front porch watching people go by and talking for hours at a time.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Marilyn; 2 sons; 2 stepsons; 2 daughters; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Paul and Dorothy (Wood) VanDelinder; brother, Robert VanDelinder; sister, Marion VanDelinder; brother, Daniel Pratt

A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00, Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Union Cemetery, Sedro-Woolley, with Military Honors. A time of visitation will be available from 9:00 to 5:00 from May 11, 2022 to May 13, 2022 then May 16, 2022 to May 18, 2022.
