Cindy Kay Gibbs Balam, age 61, a longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away June 4, 2023.  She was born December 24, 1961 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Melvin Wesley and Erika (Eckert) Gibbs.  Cindy loved to fish and hunt, and it is said that she could shoot as well as her father.

Cindy is survived by her mother, Erika Gibbs; sisters, Barbara and her husband, Keith Kennedy and Brenda and her husband, Randy Shope; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Gibbs; grandmother, Frankie Gibbs; aunt, Catie Gibbs; uncles, Frank and Jack Gibbs.
