Corrine Mae Christie, age 65, of Arlington, Washington, passed away peacefully at home September 21, 2024.  She was born December 16, 1958, to Amy and Neil Higbee in Bellingham, WA.

Her family lived in Everson and later moved to a farm about six miles east of there.  It was within her family that she learned her love of singing and music, her obsession for gardening and landscaping, and a deep and abiding faith in Jesus.

She graduated from Mount Baker High School in 1977 and went on to marry Tom Williams.  After they parted, she married Ken Roos. They had two daughters, Katherine and Aubrietta, and adopted Luke and Melissa.

Corrine became a successful Pampered Chef consultant.  Later, her passion for singing led her to join several local groups.  She was never more alive than when she had a microphone in her hand.

She and Ken parted, and Corrine was single again.  2012 brought her to the Deming Log Show—and a surprise reunion with her childhood sweetheart, Matt Christie.  They married in July, 2016.  Less than a year later, she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  Matt was by her side through everything.

Corrine's faith steered her through all the hard times and sickness; she was a constant inspiration to others with her perseverance and determination to always look on the bright side.  She brought light to so many lives and had friends wherever she went.

Corrine is survived by her husband, Matt; children, Katherine, Aubrietta, Luke and Melissa; stepchildren, Matt Christie and Mindy (Woody) Dixon; brother, Bob (Colleen) Higbee; sisters, Miriam (Don) Ambrose, Naomi (Rick) Rumpff, Bonnie (Maynard) Oliver; other relatives, and her special friend, Kathleen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Amy Higbee.

Her memorial service will be held at 1:00 Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, 1511 East Broadway, Mount Vernon, WA.  Please share your memories of Corrine and sign the online guest register.
