Daniel Lee Browning, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was born on October 6, 1955, in El Paso, Texas, the son of Bennie and Jean (Shannon) Browning.
Dan grew up in Ponder, Texas, with his older brother, Randy. After the birth of his younger brother Steve, the family moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he attended Richland Hills High School. When his little sister Shannon was born, the family settled in Richland Hills.
On March 30, 1974, Dan married Shelley Borowiec, and together they built a beautiful life. In 1991, they moved to Washington State and eventually made their home in Sedro-Woolley in 2021.
Dan had a lifelong passion for motorcycles he got his first bike at 15 years old and loved riding, rebuilding, and restoring them. He worked as a heavy equipment and forklift operator for most of his career. Outside of work, Dan loved spending time in the mountains, hunting, and camping with his friends. He also enjoyed restoring classic cars, including a 1972 Nova and a 1980 Malibu.
Dan was known for his dry sense of humor, his kind heart, and his devotion to his family. He deeply loved his wife, daughters, and grandchildren, his girls meant the world to him. In his final days, he treasured every moment with family, spending time in his recliner, visiting, and sharing stories surrounded by love.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Shelley Browning of Sedro-Woolley; his daughters, LeeAnn Radonski Browning of Cedar Park, TX, Jenny McCormick and husband, Jeremy, of Bayview, WA, Mariah Wheeler and husband, Jaron, of Friday Harbor, WA; his grandchildren include Spencer Aguirre and her husband, Adam, Cade Radonski and his wife, Emma, Mia McCormick, and Ava McCormick; brother, Steve Browning of Fredericksburg, TX; sister, Shannon Cowan of Azle, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Browning; mother, Jean Browning; and older brother, Randy Browning.
