Della "Evelyn" Collette, age 93, of Mount Vernon, Washington passed away at peace and in comfort at midnight on November 15, 2022.  She was born September 30, 1929, in Franklin, North Carolina, to George and Nannie (Ledford) Byrd.

Evelyn married Maxwell Taylor Collette October 7, 1952, in Vallejo, California, and they lived in Guam, Arkansas, Missouri, and in Spokane, Chelan and Sedro-Woolley, WA.  She worked as an LPN and was a Homemaker.  Evelyn attended the North Cascades Christian Fellowship Church.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Max Collette of Sedro-Woolley; grandchildren, Christine and David Collette; five great grandchildren, Kirsten, Sabrina, Cecilia, Kaden and Santina; sister, Willian Shafer; niece, Karen Miller; nephew, Donnie Byrd and other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles and Jody; sister, Mary Louise.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00, Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Hamilton Cemetery, Pastor Steve Fish presiding.
