Edward Olin Cobb, 69, of Sudden Valley, Bellingham WA left this earth on Thursday, November 21, 2024 following a long battle with Parkinson's and dementia.

He was born on February 22, 1955 in Camden, NJ to George "Ed" and Dorothy Cobb (Bond). He grew up in West Deptford Township NJ with his siblings Leslie, Debbie, Susan and Alan. He graduated from West Deptford High School in 1973, where he played on the tennis team.

While attending high school, he met Charleen Cichocki and they were wed in 1981. They had two daughters, Adrienne and Jillian.

Ed joined the navy in 1984 serving as an Analyst Forecaster. He received numerous commendations for his service on the USS Carl Vinson,  Ice Reconnaissance while stationed in Washington DC and Whidbey Island Naval Air Station in Washington state. He left the military, remaining in the Pacific Northwest where he worked for a time as Chief of Security in his community of Sudden Valley.

Ed was known for putting up an exceptional display of Christmas lights every year. He also enjoyed playing his banjo and mandolin with his friends. Ed had a big heart and would often give generously to people in need he met on the street. He took in many stray animals which became beloved pets. He enjoyed chatting with everyone he met while walking his dog. Ed was a big Three Stooges fan who found humor in every situation, appropriate or not, and we will miss how he constantly made us all laugh. He is survived by his wife, Charleen, of Bellingham; daughters, Adrienne and Jillian, of Bellingham, sisters, Leslie (Mike) Pzwaro of Seeley Lake, Montana, Debbie (Mike) Barbour, of Hyde Park, Vermont, Susan (Craig), Minor of Vergennes, Vermont; sister-in-law, Pam Cobb (Thompson), of Woodbury Heights, New Jersey; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Ed is preceded by his parents, George and Dorothy Cobb; his brother, Alan Cobb.
