Obituary

ay Eleanor (Gasho) Stewart of Sedro-Woolley, Washington passed away on January 15, 2025 at the age of 87.  Fay was born in Roche Harbor, WA to John and Lilly Gasho on November 13, 1937.

The family moved to Sedro-Woolley in 1956, and she graduated the following year from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1957.  After graduating, she moved to California for an adventurous two years before moving back to Washington to start a family.

Fay was blessed with four children, Donald (Natalie) Stewart of Sedro-Woolley, Ronald Stewart of Pine Island, Florida, David Stewart and Neenia Stevens, both of Sedro-Woolley.  She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Benjamin Stewart, Amber Stewart, Patrick Stewart, Sean (Janelle) Batterberry, Jake Stevens, Kyle Stevens and Logan Stevens and numerous great-granddaughters.

Fay worked over 50 years here in the Valley serving restaurant patrons at places like the Gateway in Sedro-Woolley, Mitzles in Mount Vernon and her favorite place, The Farm House Inn in LaConner.

She had a passion for photography and loved to capture the Valley's beauty in a photo, taking pictures of anything in nature from swans, eagles and tulips to an old mossy out house in the woods.

Fay was a kind giving soul and if you asked for help she gave it, but also would let you know when stupidity was getting in the way.

She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lilly Gasho; siblings, Kenny and Gordon Gasho; sister, Lorraine Jackson.
