Gerald "Jerry" Allen Sutton, 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Skagit Valley Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. He was born on January 30, 1955, in Gastonia, North Carolina, to Alvin and Irene (Sitton) Sutton.

Jerry had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, and especially crabbing with his cousins. Always generous and kind, Jerry never hesitated to lend a helping hand or give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, who meant the world to him.

He is survived by his son, Jason (Miranda) Sutton; grandchildren, Mason Sutton and Alaina (Skylar) Thompson;  great-grandsons, Harrison, Theodore, and Oliver. He is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Irene Sutton; his loving partner, Debora McClure; his sister, Lois Blankenship; his brothers, Keith and Randy Sutton.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Union Cemetery in Sedro-Woolley. Gerald will be laid to rest with his longtime partner, Deborah McClure.

Following the service, a Celebration of Jerry's Life will take place from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Bull Pen, 701 Metcalf Street, Sedro-Woolley, WA. Please join us and bring your favorite story to share in remembrance of Jerry.
