Obituary

James "Jimmy" Edward Ammons, 59 of Elma, Washington passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2024.  He was born November 24, 1964 in Mount Vernon, WA to James Avery and Geraldine (Stafford) Ammons.  He spent his first few years in Marblemount, WA and then the family moved to the North Beach, WA area.  Jimmy worked in home construction for many years and then for Traffic Control Safety for the State of Washington.  He had an avid love for cars and enjoyed working on them and became quite a mechanic.  He was also a big sports fan, any sports, but especially the Seattle Seahawks!  He loved making people smile and his love for his dog, Nova was extraordinary.  His life became complete when his grandchildren were born; his love for his family was absolute.  He was a very proud and loving grandpa.

He is survived by his dad, James A. Ammons; daughter, Amanda Jaime and son-in-law, Homero; grandsons, Enrique and Antonio; aunt, Elaine Stafford; nephews, Trey & Matthew Jennings; brother-in-law, Craig Jennings; many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Geraldine Ammons; sisters, Stephanie Ammons and Janette Jennings.

A Graveside Service will be held September 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hamilton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, share your memories of Jimmy and sign the online guest book.
