Obituary

Jason Armstrong, age 54, a longtime resident of the Sedro-Woolley area, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Skagit Valley Hospital. He had been battling end-stage kidney disease for the past five years and passed away after a hard-fought attempt to recover from an unexpected cardiac arrest.

Jason was born on November 12, 1971, in Seattle, Washington, to Loren and Carol Armstrong. He grew up in the Skagit Valley community, graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School with the Class of 1990. Shortly after graduation, Jason began working for Hexcel Corporation, where he remained a dedicated and valued employee for nearly 30 years.

Jason lived life with an infectious enthusiasm. He was quick-witted, fun-loving, and possessed an incredible sense of humor that could brighten any room. He was happiest when he was outdoors, whether riding four-wheelers, fishing, or camping under the stars. He loved listening to '80s music and, above all else, treasured the time he spent making memories with his beloved family and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren Armstrong and Carol Elkins; his sister, Jenny Elkins; his aunt, Jan Roehrich; and his cousins, Eric Roehrich and Tami Andrews.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Lois Armstrong; their two cherished English Springer Spaniels, Pork Chop and Hash Brown; his sister, Kim Lake, and her husband, Mike; and Lois's extensive family, who loved him as their own, including her siblings; Leah Elliott (Marshall), Leanne Noury, Grant Johnson (Vicki), Scott Johnson (Debbie), Lydia Blakeway (Craig), and Mark Johnson. His memory will also be carried on by his many nieces and nephews; Madison, Hunter, and Mackenzie Lake; Austin and Shianna Elkins; Crystal Meneses (Miguel) and MaKayla Rae Armstrong; Andrea and Emily Iversen; Allyson Neuendorf (Chris); Ashley Hughes (Matt); Rob Noury (Dawn); Aaimee Johnson; Aaron Ivan Johnson (Troyann); Andy Johnson; Jesse Johnson; John Johnson; Jason and Curtis Gunderson; Kristen Prouty (Richard); Michelle Steel; and Kim Ivan Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the home of TJ and Andrea Bryner. Family and friends are welcome to come together to share stories, laugh, and celebrate a life well lived.
