Jeanne Ann Halverson, age 79, a lifelong resident of Sedro-Woolley, Washington passed away at home, April 22, 2024.  She was born February 28, 1945, in Sedro-Woolley to Leland and Elizabeth (Davis) Cabe.

Jeanne lived most of her childhood in the Lyman area, where she met and later married Leonard. They made their home on the Halverson Family dairy farm in Sedro-Woolley area. Through the years, they expanded their family as well as the wooded property that later became farmland. She helped with the outside chores, picking sticks and driving tractor, as well as the house duties while raising their children. Leonard  and Jeanne also started raising beef cattle. She enjoyed driving through the herd watching for new calves. She also enjoyed camping, hiking, road trips, mushroom picking, grouse camp, and home canning. Jeanne was famous for putting on a full Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings at 7000 feet elevation at elk camp in Montana.

She loved her dogs! The cocker  and springer spaniels were family.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, Leonard Halverson; children, Sherry Halverson-Lynch, Susan (Michael Petty) Halverson-Wallace and Bob (Jessica) Halverson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) McGraw, Melissa Lynch, Bob (Ashley) Halverson, Jr. and Hunter Halverson; great grandchildren, Noah McGraw, Dakota McGraw, Addison Lisherness and Archer Brooks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Betty; two sisters and a brother.

A time of visitation will be available from 9:00 to 5:00, Thursday and Friday at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.  A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00, Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Lyman Cemetery, Pastor Jim Cannon presiding.  A Potluck Celebration of Life will follow  at  Christ The King Church, 1000 Fountain Street, Burlington.
