Obituary

Jeannie Carlson Clay died peacefully at her home in Sedro-Woolley, Washington on December 5, 2019.

Jeannie was born May 5, 1933 in Edmonds, Washington.  She was much loved by her family and friends.

If you were to ask Jeannie what her greatest accomplishment in life would be, she would say her children.  Jeannie loved to write poems and stories.  She loved to design dresses for paper dolls for her grandchildren and various sewing projects.  Jeannie loved to bake for her family.  She had a passion for gardening and growing her own vegetables.

Jeannie is survived by her daughter, Charlene Carlson Meldahl and son-in-law, Craig A. Meldahl and family; daughter, Cheryl Lynn Scoles and son-in-law, Timothy W. Scoles and family; son-in-law, Gordon Nies and family; son, Walt Carlson's family.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Clay; daughter, Wallene Nies; sons, Walt Carlson and Jerry Earl Pate.

An Open House on December 14, 2019 will be held in Jeannie's honor at daughter, Cheryl Scoles home, 555 Fir Lane, Sedro-Woolley, WA from 1 pm to 4 pm.
