Jessica
Kivett
d. Feb 9, 2020
Jessica "Jessie or Jess" Lynne Kivett, age 31, passed away January 24, 2020 in Everett, WA. She was born July 13, 1988 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington to Charles W. and Deborah "Debbie" (Westlund) Kivett. Other than living in Ft. Leonard Wood from 1989 to 1994, she has lived in Burlington all her life.
Jessie enjoyed watching cooking shows and cooking new recipes, especially marinades for meat, and desserts. She also liked watching mystery shows and crime dramas. For a brief time, Jessica went to college to become a Paralegal. She thought this would be a great way to help out other people and also be able to provide for her family. Jessica had an awesome knack of working in sales and service. She worked in management at Bath and Body Works and then at Christopher and Banks. Her favorite part was meeting new people and helping them find that certain something that was just right for them. Other things Jess liked was all kinds of music, Disney movies (with snuggle time with her children!), video games and family reunions. She enjoyed seeing different places: Disneyland when she was playing clarinet in Band, and going on a cruise to Mexico with cousins. She very much valued quality time with family and close friends. She bowled on the same league with her mom for a few years. She enjoyed couponing, thrift stores, and great bargains. She aimed to live in frugal luxury.
Jessie was purposefully attentive and nurturing to each child's best self, wanting each to shine in their own way, and to give each one her own personal "mommy" touch. She very much loved being a mom. There were lots of things she liked to do. Those who knew her best, would say she was generous, creative, playful, loyal, friend, a bit of a firecracker and a good momma!
Jessie will be with us all in spirit, especially in her kids. She will be greatly missed.
Jess is survived by her twin children, Madison Jade and Bryan Wesley Leon; parents, Charles and Deborah Kivett; siblings, Randi M. Kivett and Christopher W. and his wife, Patricia Kivett; grandmother, Sherry Westlund; great grandfather, Walt Sherman; cousins, aunts and uncles; three cats, Tigger, Bubba James and Sissy Sue.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Georgia Aleyna Hope Leon in 2017; grandfather, Mel Westlund; great grandparents, Mona and Floyd Corrion, and Alice Sherman; cousin, Joshua Feebeck.
Graveside Services for Jessica will be held at 2:00, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with Pastor Nick Harris presiding, followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering at the American Legion Hall from 3:00 to 6:00 (pizza and soda provided, plus potluck.)
