Joan Hendrix Parker, age 89, passed away at her home in Lyman on July 6, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 9, 1936, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, to Floyd and Helen Hendrix. She graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1954.

Joan was a devoted wife and homemaker who also enjoyed working as a lunch lady, serving on the election board, volunteering at the food bank, and providing grocery store demonstrations. She will be remembered for her grace, loyalty, love of family, and ability to make every holiday or milestone a warm and glorious celebration.

She is survived by her daughter, Tawny; three grandchildren, Leah, Jacob, and Brooke; and four great-grandchildren, James, Anna, Odin, and Logan.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her siblings; and her first daughter, Andra.

A graveside service will be held at Lyman Cemetery on Sunday, July 19, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a picnic at the park across the street.
