John Thorn, 87, of Burlington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. He was born December 19, 1937 to Edgar and Mary Thorn in Athabasca, Alberta Canada. He was married to Joye Thorn, July 16, 1961.

John graduated from Walla Walla University with a bachelor's degree in biology and Loma Linda University with a Ph.D. in Education. John's life was spent in Education as a principal and Associate Dean for Admissions at Loma Linda University School of Medicine.

John is survived by his wife, Joye Thorn of Burlington; son, Bruce of Walla Walla; daughter, Colleen, of San Pedro, CA and three grandchildren.
