John H. Townsend, 84, of Sedro-Woolley, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.  He was born on September 9, 1937 in Pasadena, California to Clyde and Mary (Clark) Townsend.

He served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy from 1955-1963, where he served as an Engineer.  He enjoyed talking about the many experiences of the Navy life.  John loved to travel, play bingo, laugh, but most of all he loved his family.  He was a gentle man with a sweet soul.  We will miss you dad; Heaven gets to enjoy your company now.

John is survived by his children, Kendall (Dina) Townsend; Polly Perez (Kevin), Judy Townsend, Amy Townsend (Karel); grandchildren, Blake Townsend (Haley), Brandon Townsend; great-grandson, Cash Townsend.
