Joyce Delight McRae, age 91, of Bow, Washington passed away August 29, 2025, in Lake Stevens, Washington. She was born August 19, 1934, in Watford City, North Dakota to Henry and Anna (Nygard) Falkenhaggen.

Joyce grew up in the rural Fairview North Dakota area on a farm and attended school in Dore.

Joyce followed family members west to Eastern Washington and lived in Ephrata and then on a farm in the Quincy area. It was there that she was introduced through a mutual friend to Alvin McRae. They married soon after and moved to a small farm in Bow in 1964. She was a homemaker and known for cooking fantastic meals for her family.  With the farm full of chickens, turkeys, sheep, cows and goats, Joyce helped set the stage for two generations of storied adventures with raising the animals.

Joyce is survived by her children, Kim Berry, Tony (Shelley) Berry, Jordan (Kate) Berry, Sharon Elliott (Kurt), Sheryl (Dave) Lentz and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin McRae; and 10 siblings.

A private graveside service was held on September 4, 2025, at Bow Cemetery, Pastor Jim Cannon presiding.
