Obituary

Judith 'Judy' or 'Butch' Noble Blanton was born on November 19, 1942 in Tacoma, Washington.  She joined her husband in heaven on March 16, 2025.  Judy was the fourth of five kids born to Richard and Bunnie Noble.  She grew up and went to school in Darrington, WA making lifelong friends and memories at the teen dances her parents would put on.  Mom met the love of her life when she was 14, Ed Blanton, and they married in 1961.  They raised their children in Sedro-Woolley, WA.

Judy worked for 20 years at Skagit Valley Hospital in various departments, including a time as a sterile tech.  As a young mom, she would drive all the local kids back and forth to the fields each day for summer picking.  Mom and dad were very proud to have served as foster parents, impacting the lives of many children.

Judy loved reading, thrifting and garage sales, making quilts and painting.  She loved rock hunting and interesting stones and gems.  Mom took her jelly making skills and decided to share them, making Aunt Judy's Jam, which was served in some local restaurants.  Most importantly, Judy loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart; they were the thing that made her the proudest.

Judy is survived by her children, Jeff (Teri) Blanton, Marlie (Rich Post) Blanton, Randie (Pete) DeVries and Rachel Blanton; grandchildren, PJ (Sharayah) DeVries, Landon Todd, Lucas (Haley) Blanton, Kaalen (Gabby) Blanton, Mitch Todd, Tyler Post, Liz (Kevin) Somers, Cameron Post, Ali Belle (Clayton) Blanton and Dominick Armenta; great- grandchildren, Jethro, Lillian, Orion, Magnolia, Maggie Jean and Gibson; brothers, Ted (Sally) Noble and Bud (Rose) Noble; sister-in-law, Arvilla Blanton; grandsons in her heart, Logan Noble and Wes Jones; so many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ed; loving parents; brother, Richard Noble; sister, Bonnie Kay Cook; father and mother-in-law, Albert and Rachel Blanton; sisters-in-law, Carol Noble, Vergi Mae Hansen, Inez Henry, Louise Buchanan, Polly Wyatt and Betty Blanton; brothers-in-law, Jerry Cook, Henry Buchanan, Preston Henry, Earnest Blanton and Earl Blanton.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 1:00 at The Big Barn, located at 303 East Jones Road, Sedro-Woolley.
