Judith 'Judie' Marie Doiron, a longtime resident of Arlington, Washington, passed away Thursday,  October 2, 2025 in Everett, WA.

Born in Yakima, Washington, Judith Marie Perrault was the oldest of four and leaves behind sisters, Patti (Mick) St. Luis, MaryEllen (Bob) Couchman; brother Tom (Karen) Perrault. They lived there until her family moved to Renton, then in 1946 to the Madrona area of Seattle. In 1952, the family settled in Othello, WA. The family loved to camp and go clamming, and that's where Judie learned to play cards, a skill that would become a lifelong joy.

She graduated from Othello High School in 1959, where she was proudly crowned the Rodeo Princess that same year. While in high school, she met a young, handsome Air Force member who had also enrolled there, Terry Doiron. As the story goes, one day Terry was hitchhiking into town when Judie picked him up and brought him home. Her mother fed him dinner, and from that moment on, he never really stopped coming around.

Terry and Judie were married on August 26, 1961, and shared 64 wonderful years together. They honeymooned in Spokane before moving to Seattle, where Terry joined the Coast Guard and Judie began her life as a devoted military wife and mother. Their first three children, Steven in '62, Michelle in '63, and Greg in '64 were born in Seattle, followed by Angela in '67, born in Bellevue.

Judie followed Terry wherever the Coast Guard took them, Seattle WA, Astoria OR, Long Beach CA, Woodbridge VA, Juneau & Kodiak AK, and Mayport FL. No matter where they lived, she made sure her family was connected, to the local Catholic church, to new friends, and to community through square dancing, card clubs, and her love of cooking.

She had a beautiful soprano voice, and she loved to sing in choirs, every church she would join the choir and a few times even be the choir leader. She was very proud of being part of the Everett Choral where they also produced a record. And when she would hear her children or grandchildren play music or sing, she would beam with pride.

Her favorite memories were always from Kodiak, Alaska. Her face would light up when she talked about those days, playing cards, square dancing, camping in the snow, crabbing and fishing off the beach, and searching for the perfect Christmas tree. There was always a mischievous sparkle in her eyes when she told those stories.

Judie was a quiet soul who carried deep wisdom. When asked for advice, she always offered something thoughtful and true. Her door was always open, and she showed her family the meaning of real hospitality, whether it was loving her grandchildren and their friends as her own, or welcoming anyone who happened to stop by with food and warmth.

She was an amazing listener who loved everyone with gentle kindness and a grateful heart, the very presence of a genuine grandmother.

Judie loved family vacations, camping trips, Christmases at the beach, girls' weekends to Reno with her daughters, or simply sitting and watching the sunset. Wherever she was, she made people feel loved, seen, and at home.

Judie's life was filled with love, laughter, faith, and family. She built a home that was always welcoming, always warm, and always filled with the smell of something good coming from the kitchen. She leaves behind not only memories but a legacy of the love for a family gathering that continues through her 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.

One of her favorite adventures was the trip she and Terry took by train from Nova Scotia all the way across Canada to Vancouver, B.C. She would often reminisce about that journey and how breathtaking the views were and how special it felt to travel together in comfort and luxury. Even years later, when she spoke of that trip, you could hear the joy and wonder in her voice as if she were right back there, watching the world pass by through the train window beside the man she loved.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30, Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1200 East 5 ^th Street, Arlington, WA. Her final resting place will be Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA. Share your memories of Judie  and sign the online guest register.
