Kenneth "Ken" Wayne Klaus, age 73, gained his heavenly wings on December 24, 2021. He was born November 16, 1948, in Sedro-Woolley, to Winton "Wink" and Yonibel "Yonnie" (Wilson) Klaus.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1968 to 1975. While stationed in Colorado Springs, he met his wife, Doris Bell, whom he married on January 1, 1971. He was a member of the Church of Christ for many years, both in Burlington and Mount Vernon. He was also a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Klaus; children, Angela and her husband, Tim Shuert, Dennis and his wife, Sandra Klaus; grandchildren, Travis Steuer, Tiffany Steuer, Lorna Shuert, LeAnne Shuert, Grace Klaus, Curtis Klaus, Katie Wrenn and Nickolas Klaus; sisters, Paulette Bergem, Virginia Holland and Jane and her husband, Darwin Pearson; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers in law, Tom Bergem and Lile Holland.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Church of Christ Skagit Valley, 215 S Gardner Road, Burlington, Pastor Brian Givens presiding. A time of visitation will be available 1:00 to 5:00, Friday, December 31 at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to your local VFW Post. Please share your memories of Ken and sign the online guest register.
