Larry Elden Lintz, 78, a lifelong Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 14, 2019.

Larry was born in Bellingham, Washington on March 6, 1941 to Harry and Gertrude Lintz.  When he was three, Harry passed away in a logging accident.  Gertrude later married Bruce Rothenbuhler, who raised Larry as his own child.  Larry had one sibling.

He attended schools in Samish and Sedro-Woolley, graduating with the class of 1959.

He married Joyce Peterson in 1966.  Together, they had three children.  Their marriage eventually dissolved and in 1975, Larry married Bonnie Farr, who had one daughter.  Together, Larry and Bonnie had a daughter.

Larry served his country and was in the Army National Guard for three years.  After the service, he worked for several employers, including Sedro-Woolley Lumber Mill, Uniflight and Dakota Creek Industries.  After being injured at Dakota Creek, he went back to school at Skagit Valley College where he got his degree in Engineering.  During his later years, he was volunteering at the Clear Lake Food Bank.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and wood carver. He is well known for his carved fish ornaments which are now in homes around the world. He sold his carved fish at the Concrete Saturday Market for 10 years and Clear Lake Bazaar for 8 years.

His faith was very important to him. He attended Day Creek Chapel and through the chapel he went on many several mission trips.

Larry is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lintz, at the family home; son, Randy Lintz daughters, Rose Lanata (Tim), Rebecca Bolger (Rick), Julie Handy (Mike), Amanda Sherman (Robert); sister, Susan Rothenbuhler; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Lintz; mother, Gertrude Rothenbuhler; step-parents, Bruce and Jean Rothenbuhler.

Larry is now reunited and out fishing with two of his cousins, Bruce Hinds and Ron Rothenbuhler.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Clear Lake Food Bank, Day Creek Chapel and Fresenius Kidney Center in Mount Vernon.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00AM at the Day Creek Chapel, 31438 S Skagit Hwy, Sedro-Woolley, with Pastor Travis Lohman presiding.
