Leah Marie Berg, loving mom and cherished daughter, passed into the Lord's arms on May 8, 2026, after losing her battle with an aggressive sarcoma.

Born in Tacoma, Washington, Leah was diagnosed with hydrocephalus at 6 months of age. After having a shunt placed in her brain, she grew and developed normally with minimal complications. At age 3, she began taking ballet lessons, later adding tap and jazz dancing. She performed in several recitals and eventually joined a small performing group called Dansations.

Leah attended preschool, elementary, middle, and high school in Concrete, Washington, where she made many lifelong friends. As a participant in the High Achievers Program in fourth grade, she had the opportunity, through the Youth Ambassadors of America, to attend the first Soviet-American Youth Summit in Moscow. Alongside children from the United States and many regions of the Soviet Union, she helped create a Children's Peace Initiative and Declaration addressing global and environmental issues.

At age 11, Leah's shunt was replaced, resulting in complications that left her partially paralyzed on her left side. With the support of family, friends, and dedicated teachers, Leah completed sixth grade and continued through middle and high school in Concrete. She graduated in 1996 and went on to attend Western Washington University, earning a degree in Human Services. She later helped establish several Family Info Centers where families could receive assistance and support.

Leah married Jeremy Moore, and together they welcomed Chloe (now Saige) and Abby (now Cloud). Although Leah and Jeremy later divorced, they remained close friends and co-parented their beloved children with love and dedication.

Leah worked as a registrar for the Seattle Public Schools. After discovering a cancerous breast lump, she underwent a partial mastectomy followed by radiation and chemotherapy. When her cancer went into remission, she continued working and enjoying life. She and her children traveled together to Washington, D.C., Florida, and California, creating treasured memories.

About five years later, her cancer returned. A determined fighter, Leah remained at home until her passing, surrounded by family and loved ones holding her hands.

Leah is survived by her children, Saige and Cloud, and their father, Jeremy Moore; her parents, Mark and Joan Berg; her brother and sister-in-law, Larse and Kelly Berg, and their children, Hayley and Soren Berg, of Sedro-Woolley; her beloved Aunty Margo of Naples; her Uncle Tom and Aunt Pam of Redmond; and many cousins and other close family members.

Leah will always be loved and deeply missed in this life, but we take comfort in knowing that one day we will be reunited with her in God's heavenly kingdom. Please share memories with the family.
