Lelia 'Ann' Davis, 83, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, March 14, 2021.  Ann was born on July 31, 1937 to Ray and Pearl Sherrill in Swede Heaven out of Darrington, Washington.

Ann attended grade school in Hamilton, graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1956.

She was married to Adrian Knutzen and later divorced.  Ann was living in Alaska, when the 1964 earthquake hit – Jack always said, "God shook Alaska to send Ann back to him."  They were married in September of 1964, enjoying 56 years of marriage before her death.

Ann worked for the Mount Vernon School District, retiring in 1997 after 20 years of driving bus.  Once retired, Ann and Jack spent their time at their grandchildren's events and traveling in their motorhome to 41 states.  They were snowbirds to Florida for 12 years.

Ann is survived by her husband, Jack at the family home; children, Tom (Joy) Davis, Vancouver, WA, Tim (Mary) Davis, Pasco, Teci (Steve) Greydanus, Mt. Vernon, Tera (Jeff) Boonstra, Sedro-Woolley, Jack (Alana) Davis, Sedro-Woolley, Sue Davis, Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Chad (Eileen) Davis, Candace (Andrew) Sampson, Vanessa (Jim) Telford, Joshua (Allyssa Rae) Davis, Aaron (Taira) Davis, Arianna (Sean) Nicolaysen, Mat (Bethany) Coker, Amanda (Craig) Baumgartner, Stephanie (Michael) Dalrymple, Derek (Emily) Greydanus, Josh (Angela) Boonstra, Sean (Amy) Haahr, DeeAnna (Ross Marsh) Boonstra, James (Maddie Rayburn) Barney, Jacksen Davis, Raeann (Matt Gubrud) Welch, Tanner Welch, Abi Ferguson, Natalie Ferguson and Nicholas Rude; 35.5 great grandchildren and 1.5 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Keener; brother-in-law, Grover Keener, mother and father-in-law, Jack and Fran Davis; brother-in-law, Barry Davis.

A Family Graveside Service will be held, with a Celebration of Life to be scheduled at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are recommended to the Skagit Historical Museum, 501 South 4 ^th Street, La Conner, WA  98257.  Arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.  Share your memories of Ann and sign the on-line guest register.
