Obituary

Leonard E. Hornbeck, 84, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.  Leonard was born on May 12, 1942, in Burlington, Washington, to Clara and Lawrence Hornbeck.

In 1966, Leonard married Vici, and together they welcomed two sons, Ronald and Randall. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in them. A hardworking man with an independent spirit, Leonard owned and operated L.E. Hornbeck Trucking for many years. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and the pride he took in his work and in maintaining his trucks. Leonard was blessed with the love and support of family and close friends. His family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Jenn Camby, whose unwavering friendship, compassion, and countless hours spent by Leonard's side brought him comfort, dignity, and companionship. Her kindness and devotion meant more than words can express.

Leonard is survived by his two sons, Ronald (Loree) and Randall Hornbeck; his grandson, Logan Hornbeck; Brother, Robert, and his nieces and nephews, Daryl, Jody, and Dustin Hornbeck, Chuck (Melissa) and Kelly Hornbeck. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Lawrence Hornbeck; his brother, William Hornbeck; and his nephew, David Hornbeck.

A Celebration of Leonard's Life will be held on Saturday, July 18th at 1 PM at Lemley Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Hamilton Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember a man whose strength, kindness, and love will never be forgotten.
