Marvin "Marv" E. White, 81, passed away at his home on January 29, 2025. He was born on June 17, 1943 in Portland, Oregon. He grew up and went to school in Oak Harbor, Washington. Marv was the second of four children to Walter and Anna White.

After finishing high school he moved to Mount Vernon and begun working at various jobs around the agricultural field, until he settled on working at Skagit Steel where he worked until it closed in the early 80's. After the closing of Skagit Steel he began working in the construction field and started driving trucks for Concrete Nor'west where he worked until his retirement in 2010.

Marv was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman he enjoyed mushroom gathering, clam digging and crabbing. He enjoyed going to Westport to enjoy charter fishing with his sons. Marvin was also a member of the Skagit Hill Climbers Jeep Club, Skagit Valley Eagles #3242, Wildcat Steelhead club and the Burlington Volunteer Fire Department. Another one of his hobbies was camping in our lot at Skagit River Woods where he and the family spent many summers. He enjoyed trips around the US exploring the National Parks and Sothern States, especially the alligator trip in Louisiana and the east coast. Marvin spent many summers in Darrington for the annual Bluegrass Festival. Within the last years of his life he enjoyed helping eldest son, David, work road maintenance on logging roads around the mountains.

Marvin met Patty Cheadle in 1965, and they were married in 1966 and had three sons.

Marv is survived by his wife, Patty White; sons, David (Lisa) White, Daniel "Danny" White, Michael "Mike" White; grandchildren, Christian "Chris" White, Brandon (Valesha) White, Dylan White, Spencer White; great-grandchildren, Isabell and Violet White; sister, Barbara Derexl; brother, Larry White; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Anna White; brother, Walter Lee White.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother. He will be greatly missed by all.
