Maude Clarice (Johnson) Aldridge-Wilcox, aged 102, peacefully passed away on December 27, 2024, at the Life Care Center in Mount Vernon, Washington. Born on February 7, 1922, in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of David and Ada (Taylor) Johnson.

Maude was married to Clay Aldridge until his passing in 1962, after which she found love again with Wille Wilcox. Her most cherished profession was as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), a role she fulfilled with dedication at the Northern State Hospital in Sedro-Woolley. During her time in Morganton, North Carolina, she worked in a Children's Care Center, embodying the spirit of a caregiver as she also took care of her mother until her death.

An avid gardener, Maude cultivated a wide variety of vegetables, ensuring her pantry was well-stocked for the winter months. She had a passion for flowers and enjoyed sewing, creating beautiful clothes for her children and crafting numerous quilts for her loved ones. Her faith in God guided her life, and she always made time for those in need. A talented cook, she delighted in preparing meals for her family.

Maude is survived by her sons, Ronnie Aldridge of Clear Lake, Randy Aldridge of Sedro-Woolley; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, Richie Aldridge; daughter, Shari Bennet; her parents, Ada and David Johnson; brothers, Allen, David, Emmet, Jack, Lee,  Frank; sisters, Violet, Allie, and Martha.

In accordance with her wishes, Maude will be cremated, and her ashes will be spread over Skagit River and Clear Lake Hill in the spring, via airplane.
