Mike Wysk
Jr.
Apr 19, 1930 — Jun 13, 2024
"THOSE WE LOVE DON'T GO AWAY, THEY WALK BESIDE US EVERY DAY, UNSEEN, UNHEARD, BUT ALWAYS NEAR. STILL LOVED, STILL MISSED AND VERY DEAR" unknown
Mike Wysk Jr. was born on April 19, 1930, at his family home in Haynes, North Dakota to Mike and Marie (Koslowski) Wysk. He was one of eight children. Mike passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
Mike lived 94 years of a very adventurous life. He often spoke of going back and forth to school in a horse and buggy, using heavy blankets to keep warm during the winter months. He quit school at the age of 16 to go to work to earn money, so he could get his pilot's license. He did just that at the age of 17. He loved flying planes. He joined the Air Force as an Armament Specialist, serving seven years. His tours included time in Korea and South Africa.
He married Myrna Ashcrast, and together they had three daughters, Carol, Mary and Ingrid. Mike moved around a lot working in construction and building houses from Idaho to Alaska.
He met Karen Morgan in 1980. With this union, he gained four more daughters and one son. Mike and Karen spent 44 years traveling, spending time with family and making memories.
Mike will be missed and is so loved by his wife, Karen; brother, Frank Wysk; daughters, Carol Lammers, Mary (Jim) Crozier, Ingrid (Brian) Orndorff, Debbie (Jim) Brady, Diana (Bill) Anderson, Darla Henning and Dorry (Mike) Wartchow; son, Ron (Heather) Morgan; sister-in-law, Liz Franca; 27 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; special friends, Lonnie and Lisa Palm; many nieces and nephews and all those adopted by Mike over the years.
A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 2pm at Carriage Court Estate Club House, 24531 Hwy 20, Sedro-Woolley, WA. Mike's final resting place will be at Greenhills Cemetery, Burlington, WA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of the Northwest.
"I hope heaven is ready, because here comes the World's greatest Pollock through those gates" Ron Morgan
