Chum Wolkenhauer-Hill, age 89, passed away in Sedro-Woolley, WA on June 13, 2026. She was born on April 8, 1937 in Burke County, ND to Henry and Mae Mariner. For most of her working life she worked in Anacortes as a "beertender" as she called it. In her earlier years she owned and operated the Chugar Inn and later worked for the Anchor Inn for many years.  Chum loved playing pinochle, dancing, and listening to country music. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Garrennetta Wolkenhauer, her first husband Gerhardt "Gary" Wolkenhauer, her second husband Arthur Hill, and her granddaughter Amy LaMae Boeckman. She is survived by her children Lezli Wolkenhauer, Valenda (Dave) Boeckman and Dallas (Heather) Wolkenhauer; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; and many loving relatives and friends.
