Paul & Toni were involved in 4-H there, and continued when they moved to Maple Valley, Washington in June 1965. Paul attended Tahoma High School 10th–12th grade and graduated there. He then went to Green River College for two years. He attended Trinity Western in Canada for a year, then transferred to Multnomah Bible School in Portland, Oregon, where he met Eunice on March 1, 1971. They married in December 1971, eventually had two beautiful children, and lived in Sedro-Woolley for three years. They then moved across the road from Eunice's parents to begin a 15-year dairy farm operation. They sold the farm to their good neighbors, Jeff & Vicky Rainey, and then moved to Bellingham where they lived for 28 years. Paul worked as maintenance man at a 53-apartment complex, and Eunice worked 23 years in food service at WWU. Paul is survived by his wife, Eunice, of 53 years; son, Tim (Angela) Wingert of Roy, Utah; daughter Cindy (Joel) Shaw of Kent, WA; and six grandchildren: Jesse Shaw, Jared (Remy) Shaw, Katie Shaw, Keira Shaw, Ronan & Greyson Wingert; and great-grandson, Camden Shaw. Also survived by his siblings, Toni Bowen, Lisa Borden, and Kim Owen. Paul was preceded in death by two sisters, Terri Schwantes & Tami Hofer; Tami's son, Brian; and his parents, Don Schwantes, Herman & Eve Wingert.
