Peggy (Nicholson) Allen, age 81, passed away on March 3, 2026 in the care of Birchview Memory Care in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. Peggy was a lifetime resident of Sedro-Woolley. She was born on June 8, 1944, the daughter of Hillard and Gertrude (Gertie) Nicholson.

Peggy attended Sedro-Woolley schools and always took great pride in attending Lyman Elementary. She graduated in 1962 from Sedro-Woolley High School, where she met the love of her life and future husband, Wes Allen. She married Wes in October of 1962, and they were married for 49 years before Wes' passing in 2012.

Peggy worked as a receptionist for many years at Hunter Clinic and later for Dr. Gene Sargent Dentistry. In retirement her and Wes spent many days RVing with Skagit SAMS Club and traveled with their RV for three months stopping in several locations around the country to explore and visit extended family. Watching her kids and grandkids participate in all their sports and activities brought her much joy. Peggy enjoyed gardening, sewing, attending church and Bible Study and spending time with family and friends, especially the "Birthday Club".

Peggy is survived by her three children, a son, Rod (Nancy) Allen; daughter, Kristie (Jim) Fine, Kerri (Roger) Helgeson; six grandchildren, Andrea, Wesley, Alicia, Zack, Cole and Katie;  five great-grandchildren, Jackson, McKinley, Cooper, Carter and Mia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wes, of 49 years; her parents, Hillard and Gertrude Nicholson.

Peggy will be laid to rest next to Wes and her parents at Greenhills Cemetery, Burlington, WA in a private family ceremony. There will be a reception on March 10, 2026 from 1-3 at Farmington Square, 425 Garden Lane, Burlington, WA.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the care she received at Birchview Memory Care and Hospice of the Northwest.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00, Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the Alger Community Hall, 2161 Old Highway 99, Alger.
