Peter John
Kelly
Aug 11, 1984 — Feb 12, 2026
Peter John Kelly, 41, of Clear Lake, Washington, passed away on the Thursday, February 12, 2026. He was born on August 11, 1984, in Sedro-Woolley the son to Mark and Carolyn (Egbert) Kelly.
For the first few years, they lived in Bow, WA on the back side of the family's dairy farm. Pete spent a lot of that time traveling the fields between home and the farm, where he drank coffee with Grandma Egbert, before helping grandpa with the chores. If you knew Peter, you would agree that this was directly in character. All he ever wanted to do is to spend time with those he loved and help however he could.
He began schooling at Allen Elementary, before moving to Clear Lake, and attending Clear Lake Elementary, continuing on to graduate from Sedro-Woolley High School in 2002. During those years he made lifelong friends, and participated in many sports, always donning the #34.
After high school Peter worked many construction jobs, before going into the hospitality industry, but he never refused an opportunity to drive a tractor.
As an adult, he continued making new friends everywhere he went, he was a social butterfly. Pete was caring, generous, and loved all of his family and friends with all of his heart.
This did not stop short with his four legged friends. He had two very special dogs in life, first was Burton, who he adopted as just a puppy. Then Lila, who was there to support him in the end.
He is survived by his mother Carolyn Kelly, of Waterville, WA; his brothers, Phillip Kelly, of Clear Lake, Kenneth Kelly, Christopher (Nakasha) Kelly, of the Bellingham area; sister, Jennifer (Murl) VanPelt, of Clear Lake, WA; grandmother, Sherry Kelly of Sedro-Woolley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his father, Mark Kelly; his grandparents Keith and Doris (Tilden) Egbert, grandfather, Peter D. Kelly, grandmother, Gilda Padden (Steen), as well as his aunt Deborah (Egbert) Kanske; cousins, Dusty Kanske, and Doug Kanske.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM, at the Bow Cemetery. Details for a celebration of life will be announced soon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate in his name to the Because We Care Rescue in Burlington, WA
