Ransom "Ramp" Earl Queen, age 90 a long-time resident of Sedro-Woolley, (Punkin center) WA passed away July 25, 2024. He was born November 22, 1933 in Sylva, North Carolina to Fred and Lula (Broom) Queen.

He was united in marriage June 12, 1964 to Jennie "Susie" Moyer. Ransom was employed in the timber industry and as a Shake Sawyer. He was a long-time founding member of the Back Country Horsemen of Washington State and served on the District 8 "Punkin Center" Fire Department as a volunteer for 26 years. Ransom was an avid horseback rider who loved camping, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his many family members and friends.

Ransom is survived by his wife, Jennie 'Susie' Queen of Sedro-Woolley, WA. children, Tod (Sheri) Queen of Sedro-Wooley, Marcie (Jeff) Kinney of Concrete; grandchildren, Michael Alsup, Chelsea Queen, Ashley Queen, Madison Queen, Cameron Queen; sister, Velma Queen of Hamilton; brother, Benny Queen of Wenatchee; sisters-in-law, Maryann Preston and Jean (Chuck) Klingel; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lula Queen; sister, Ruby Burgess; mother-in-law, Winnie Moyer; father-in-law, Dwight Moyer; brothers-in-law, Sam Queen, Bob Dorsey, Bob Burgess, Dan Preston; sister-in-law; Iris Queen; niece and nephew, Cathy and Royce Klingel.
