Richard 'Dick' George Larson, age 74, a longtime resident of Burlington, Washington passed away August 18, 2023 at home. He was born June 20, 1949 in Mount Vernon, WA to Emus and Gertrude (Serr) Larson. Richard graduated from Stanwood High School in 1967.
At the age of 16, Richard worked during the summer on a fishing boat in Oregon to earn enough money to buy his first car. He travelled to California by train to pick up his convertible, that he was very proud of. He then worked as a teenager setting pins at the bowling alley. Then worked as a Welder at the Bremerton Naval Base where he excessed rapidly and was sent to Vallejo, CA to help with welding. Richard became a welder in the marine industry where he became a master welder and fabrication boss, teaching others to do great in the welding business.
Richard enjoyed all sports, watching car racing, playing shuffleboard, and going to the casino. He was also a member of the FOE 3041 Stanwood Eagles.
Richard is survived by his lifelong partner of 35 years, Roxy Larson; grandson, Zachary Rogers; sisters, Marlene (Gary) Reinecke, Betty (Andy) Temple and Nancy Liles; two stepdaughters, Cheryl and Susan, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his children, Danny Larson and Jennifer Rogers; siblings, James, Dale, Howard and Jacob Larson and Shirley Fleming.
