Robert “Bob”
Wilms
Dec 7, 1950 — May 1, 2026
Robert "Bob" Laird Wilms, 75, of Sedro-Woolley, Washington, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026.
Born December 7, 1950, in San Bernardino, California, Bob was the son of John and Barbra Wilms. He grew up in Southern California before relocating to Washington in 1991, where he built a life rooted in family, hard work, and the things he loved most.
Bob was a skilled tradesman who spent many years working in plumbing, earning the respect of those who knew him for his dedication and craftsmanship. Outside of work, he had a deep passion for muscle cars, especially Chevrolets and could often be found working on his latest project, whether it was a Camaro or an El Camino. This love of cars was something he proudly shared with his children, passing on both knowledge and enthusiasm.
He also served his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran, serving from 1968 to 1970.
Bob is survived by his wife, Gretchen Wilms; his sons, David (Chrissy), Kenneth, Kevin (Mackenzie), and Tim Wilms; his grandchildren, Carson, Harper, and Abigail Wilms.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Steven and Phillip Wilms.
Per Bob's wishes, there will be no services. Share your memories of Bob and sign the online guest register.
