Babe, age 78, was born to Brice and Hattie Moody in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, and died April 2, 2025.

Babe was a lifelong resident of Skagit County.  Babe's passion was for her family and sharing her love of gardening, cooking, and the daily sunsets with her children and grandchildren.  Babe became the Postmaster of the Lyman Post Office in 1999 and retired in 2012.

Babe is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ray Melton; children, Cheryl (Steve) Holm and Brian Melton; grandchildren, Khloé (Josh) Decker, Elizabeth (Josh) Melton, Noelan (Liv) Melton; great-grandchildren, Emmett Decker, June Newell, Clay Newell, Babe Decker, Brody Decker and Jett Marble; brothers, Tom Moody and Danny (Donna) Moody; brother-in-law, John Gallagher; numerous nieces and nephews.

Babe was preceded in death by her parents; sister and best friend, Bonnie Gallagher; sisters, Dorothy (Arlis) Lawler and Nelli (Tip) Mani; brothers, Mack Moody, Jack Moody, Ed Moody, John Moody, Jim (Nancy) Moody; sister-in-law, Sharron Moody.

A celebration of life gathering for family will be announced at a later date.
