Sedro-Woolley

Rose Ann Clark, of Sedro-Woolley, Washington, passed away on October 12, 2026. She was born on August 16, 1948, at Providence Hospital in Snohomish County to Arthur and Betty Strand.

Rose graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1966. That same year, she began working at Seafirst Bank in Seattle as a full-time proof operator, eventually advancing to a management position with Bank of America. After a life of working at the local bank and raising her children in Sedro-Woolley, she was able to retire to a quiet life.

Rose loved spending time outdoors, and you could often find her curled up on the couch outside, reading her NOOK and soaking up the sunshine. While living in Seattle, she enjoyed taking her grandchildren to fireworks shows, the Space Needle, and the Pacific Science Center.

Rose was a devoted mother and grandmother who was always supportive of her family. She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, always bringing a chair to watch the games and keeping extra water in the car for afterward. She also enjoyed attending Mariners games and traveling to places such as Alaska, Canada, and along the coast. Whether walking the beach or hiking in the mountains, Rose loved searching for shells and rocks, especially the shiny ones.

In 2010, Rose proudly overcame cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Rose is survived by her four children, Theresa (Keith) Kingma, Christopher (Marcia) Clark, Annie Clark, and Lizzy (Chris Brock) Clark-Brock; 11 grandchildren, Leighton, Evan, Kayle, Casey, Earl, Tawsha, Cheyenne, Austin, Logan, Mackenzie, and Skylar; and three great-grandchildren, Ivan, Jeffery, and Hazel; her 5 siblings, Wayne and Kathy Strand, Janice (Nan) & James Tamashiro, Paul and Debbie Strand, Glenn and Linda Strand, Frank and Ruby Strand, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
