Terence ‘Terry’
Leroy Waynick
Apr 9, 1962 — Jan 14, 2026
Terence 'Terry' LeRoy Waynick, age 63, a longtime resident of Skagit County, Washington, passed away in Seattle, WA January 14, 2026. He was born April 9, 1962 in San Francisco, California to Jesse B. and Lila L. (Hunter) Waynick.
As a child, our mother said Terence would always give away his toys. He was the type of person that would give you whatever you asked for. He also liked watching the birds and squirls from his living room window. Terry graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1980. Most of his adult life was spent in Skagit County where he worked for two years at Harrah's Casino as a security guard. Harrah's then transferred him to Reno, Nevada where he lived and worked for about six more years, also as a security guard. When he returned to Skagit County, he worked for Edco, Inc. in Burlington as a Machine Assistant where he made a very good friend by the name of Pat. At the time that he passed away, he was retired and living in Burlington and he and his neighbor and cousin, Freddy would spend time going out to different restaurants.
Terence was a huge sports fan and liked all sports mainly the Seahawks, Huskies and Mariners. He also enjoyed watching wrestling, in particular, the WWF on TV. He thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with his friends watching sporting games.
Recently, he really enjoyed the Upper Skagit elders tribal trips, some of which included going to Idaho and Oregon. He always had a good time. He was very upbeat and liked to laugh and joke around. He will be missed and remembered by many.
Terry is survived by his siblings, Brenda Waynick, Regina Waynick and Richard Snaps; great aunt, Annabelle Dallaire; aunt Joanne Street of North Carolina; nieces, Olivia and Natalie Rajcich; many cousins both locally and in North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lila Ann Waynick.
A Graveside Inurnment Service will be held at 1:00, Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Harry Moses Indian Cemetery, Marblemount, WA, Pastor Dan Dohner presiding.
