Obituary

Thomas Frederick Albertine, born January 6, 1939, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, to Ernie and Blanche Albertine, entered the world on his mother's birthday.   He passed away on March 19, 2026.

Tom was raised in Sedro-Woolley and graduated in 1957.   He greatly enjoyed staying in touch with his classmates and the annual class reunions.

Tom proudly served in the National Guard from 1962 to 1968, leaving as an Sgt E5.   He worked as a skilled machinist for Ederer Crane in Seattle for over 30 years and retired in 2001.

In his free time, Tom enjoyed working with antique outboard motors and had a fond appreciation for Lionel model trains, hobbies that reflected his patience, craftsmanship, and love of mechanical detail.  He served as group leader of the Neptune Special Interest group for over 30 years, writing articles and answering questions for other boaters across the country and beyond.  He also cherished time spent camping, boating, and fishing especially at Grandy Lake, "Lake Baker" and Lake Crescent, where many meaningful memories were made in '53 Lonestar and his Arkansas Traveler.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor and unique phraseology.

He is survived by his former wife, Barbara Albertine; son, Scott (Steina) Albertine; daughter, Judy (Chuck) Garner; grandchildren, Austin and Ryan Garner, along with other loving family members and friends who will treasure his memory.

He is preceded by his former wife, Della Albertine.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hospice of the Northwest.  The family wishes to thank them for their care during his last days as well as the care he received from Mountain Glen over the last few years.

He is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Details regarding services and a fuller remembrance of his life will be shared by the family.
