Tony “Tt”
Lynn Trial
d. Jul 4, 2021
Tony Lynn "TT" Trial, age 61, of Burlington, Washington passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2021, at home. He was born July 15, 1959, in Burlington, WA at the old hospital on Fairhaven Avenue. Tony was raised in Sedro-Woolley and Burlington by Leland and Phyllis (Melton) Trial. There he attended school and graduated from Burlington-Edison High School in 1977. He was on the wrestling and football teams. He later went on to play for the Skagit Valley Raiders football team which he and his dad Lee, enjoyed immensely.
He was married to Melissa Booth in Sedro-Woolley, WA and together they had two children, Taylor Trial and Austin Trial. Tony later married Desiree Hopke in Snohomish, WA and together they had one child, Shea Trial.
Tony worked for years logging in Washington State, then moved on to carpentry and concrete construction work. He attended schooling through the University of Washington to become a construction Project Manager. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially gardening and woodworking. Frequently you would find him out in the yard babying his tomato plants or admiring his tarheel bean garden. He had a passion for reading and would frequently complete an entire book in a day. His love for sports, especially football, continued on into adulthood. He also developed a love for fishing that could be directly attributed to his maternal grandfather, Mark Melton. Also, almost every weekend you would see him out at Skagit Speedway. He didn't miss many nights rooting on friends and family.
Tony is survived by his children, Taylor (and Travis) and Austin (and Makyelah) and Shea; his mother, Phyllis Trial (and Jim); stepmother, Mary Ann Armey; his siblings, Shawna Powell (and Tracy), Lewis Armey Jr, Doug Armey, Pam Armey and Carl Armey and their significant others. Tony also had many cousins and friends that were as close as brothers and sisters to him.
He was preceded in death by his birth father, Lewis Armey Sr. and his adopted father Leland Trial.
Tony never met a stranger and would give the shirt from his back to help someone. He had a keen sense of mischief and humor and loved to laugh. Please share a good memory of Tony and do something kind for someone in his memory. He would want you to remember him with a smile your face and love.
A Graveside Inurnment will be held at 11:00, Friday July 30, 2021, at Greenhills Cemetery in Burlington, WA with Pastor Jim Cannon presiding, followed by a Celebration of Life at Riverfront Park in Sedro-Woolley, WA.
