Travis Dean Stendal, our beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 2, 2026 at the age of 48.  Travis was born on July 24, 1977 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.  He graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1995.  Travis lived and worked in the Skagit Valley most of his life.  He was a laborer by trade and later received his CDL and drove truck.

Travis touched many lives; he never met a stranger.  He loved and cared deeply, described by most as jovial, kind and a loyal friend.  He had a really big heart and would help anyone and everyone (even when he didn't want to) with his strong hands and back.  His whistles were magical and his tenor voice was impressive.  If you ever heard him sing, consider yourself lucky.  His hugs were grand and when he grinned, you couldn't miss his dimples.  He was so funny, always with a joke up his sleeve or something else to make you laugh.  Mr. Personality, happy go lucky.

In his spare time, Travis enjoyed biking, fishing, hiking and rock hounding.  He had a big appetite and loved family gatherings.

Travis leaves behind his loving mother, Sydna (Clark) Hagen; sister, Shannon (Jack) Moore; niece, Isabella; nephew, Alex; grandmother, Norma Harrold; step grandmother, Anita Hagen; uncles, Steve (Lynda), Gene (Char) and Victor Hagen; step aunts, Denise Williams and Donna Atchley; his father, John Stendal; aunt, Bliss Stendal; first cousins, Darcy, Amy, Joe; Adam, Andrew; Sarah, Erin; Nick, Lindsay; close friends that called him their brother, Eric Robertson, Eric Torset, Ira Titterness, John Vanderwal and Justin Martinez; many many more family and friends; and of course his cat, Mercury.

Travis was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Keith Hagen and John F. Stendal; grandmother, Dolores Stendal; step grandfather, Scott Harrold and his daughter, Diana Knutzen; uncle, Gary Stendal; aunts, Mary Lynn Stendal and Lola Hagen; first cousin, David Thompson.

A Celebration of Life will be held July 24, 2026, from 1-3PM at 12775 Wayward Way, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.
