Wayne LeRoy King passed away on August 21, 2022.  He was born November 17, 1938 to Elmer King and Laverne Robinson King.  Wayne grew up in Sedro-Woolley, graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1957.  He attended Washington State University and graduated from Western Washington College in 1963.  He met his wife Mary while at Western and they were married in 1964.

Wayne taught in the Edmonds School District at Mountlake Terrace High School for 30 years.  His subjects were Drafting and Math.  He also coached Boys and Girls Soccer, Wrestling, Cross Country and Track.  After retirement Wayne worked many years at the King Dome and Seattle Convention Center.  Wayne finally returned to Sedro-Woolley where he enjoyed years of gardening, camping and cruising.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Dave and Doug; brother-in-law, Dennis English (Judy); niece, Lindsay Anderson (Todd) and numerous King cousins.  Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and aunt "Granny" Dorothy  Woodmansee.
